About Nasila Rehman
My name is Nasila Rehman and I have studied and practised various holistic wellbeing practices for most of my adult life, further to experiencing personal health issue which were resolved through acupuncture treatment, I am today in a blessed place where I can impart this most ancient and effective of healing on to others.
I have been in the field of acupuncture for a number of years and have gained a BSc Honours in Acupuncture at the University of East London alongside further training at the TCM University in Nanjing, China.
My Qualifications:
- Mizan Therapy, The Orange Tree Retreat
- Body Piercing, The London Piercing Academy
- BSc Degree in Acupuncture, University of East London
- Community Mental Health Diploma, College
- Level 3 Beauty Therapy, College
- Additional piercing qualification, Newham College of Further Education
Further to this, my expertise in Acupuncture was enhanced when having completed a six week placement, at Nanjing University and TCM hospitals in China, in 2012. In my earlier career to this I worked in the health and social sector. Positions held have been as a: Health Care Assistant, Housing Officer, Mental Health Outreach Worker and a Mental Support Worker.
I received my calling to venture into the renowned and resilient practice of Acupuncture with the aim to re-evoke ancient holistic therapies. During my placement in China I also visited villages and learnt from elder women in South Asia. In between all this I also manage to devote time to being a single mother to four treasures, my wonderful children alongside being blessed with being the eldest of five siblings and having the privilege to be part of my elderly parents’ daily lives.
The name Dandelion was bestowed upon me by my Sifu or Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor who, proclaimed that the best way to serve is through the analogy of this resilient and prevalent flower. “Treat one well and they will go on to spread their seeds of good health”
Through many years of research, I have found that women are often void of soul enriching therapies that work with their natural cycles which is what lead me to develop my range of services that enhance and enrich by bridging ancient wisdoms with modern day practices.
In 2016 I was approached by the Homerton Hospital to assist with a fertility study entitled, “The impact of acupuncture on IVF success rates”. The significant results supported the hypothesis that women who were treated with acupuncture as an adjunctive to IVF were better able to conceive than women who simply underwent IVF alone. This study received scientific recognition when it was presented by Karin Gilerman in 2016 in Helsinki, Finland at the annual HFEA (Human Fertilisation Embryology Authority) Conference.
